The specialty „Architect" provides the following professional knowledge about:

The learning process is organized so that it always starts with introductory knowledge in the field – drawing and modeling, concepts of architectural structures and composition, building physics, materials science and others. Training in the field of composition begins with the principles of abstract composition, to gradually move into the specifics of composition in architectural environments and architectural tasks. This is done through a series of small, intriguing and completely manageable tasks. Only after the smooth transition of this preparation comes the first project for a small building and its urban planning problems. Here we start again with the most famous for students type of building – residential, to pass consistently with the gradual complication of all major types of buildings in their interconnectedness with the principles of real design and real urban planning. The program is designed to allow for the interconnection of different consecutive projects.

Candidate students can apply with:

1. Candidates, who are citizens of countries outside European union and European economic area may apply if the minimum average grade in mathematics or physics from the diploma for completed secondary education is not lower than 62 percent of the maximum grade value according to the assessment system in the country where the secondary education was acquired.
2. Кандидатите за специалности “Архитектура” и “Строителство на сгради и съоръжения” трябва да положат онлайн изпит по рисуване. Специализиран онлайн курс по рисуване може да бъде организиран безплатно от ВСУ “Любен Каравелов” ако е необходим.

Each applicant may have to submit the following documents:

1. Standard Application form.
2. Copy of the document for completed secondary education and of the appendix with the grades.
3. A document issued by a competent authority certifying the applicant right to continue his / her education in the higher schools of the country in which his / her secondary education is acquired.
4. Language proficiency document:
   For the candidates who will study in Bulgarian and will not pass language and specialized training - a document for proficiency in Bulgarian language, issued by a higher school in the Republic of Bulgaria.
   For candidates who will study in English and will not pass the language and specialized training - a recognized certificate (FCE, SAE, TOEFL, etc.) or high school diploma with enhanced teaching of English.
5. Medical certificate issued within one month before the date of the application and authenticated by relevant medical authority in the country from which the person is applying.
6. A copy of the page from the international passport with the name of the candidate in Latin, his/hers date and place of birth.
7. Документ за платен депозит към ВСУ “Любен Каравелов” в размер на 50 лв. Депозита ще бъе приспаднат от таксата за записване на кандиатстващия.Документите по точка 2.3 и 5 трябва да бъдат преведени на български език и с приведени във вид съобразоно изисквания на законодателството на Република България.
