Specialty "Строителен мениджмънтgives students the following professional skills for:
- Математическия апарат, използван в общообразователните, инженерните и специални дисциплини, както и в строителната практика на инженера;
- Начините за изобразяване на пространствени обекти и приложението им в инвестиционните проекти и инженерната практика;
- Основните въпроси от физиката и химията, свързани със строителната дейност;
- Механиката на твърдото тяло и методите за статико-динамични изследвания на строителните конструкции;
- Основите на инженерната и приложната геодезия;
- Свойствата на скалите, почвите, строителните материали и изделия, както и методите за тяхното изпитване;
- Оразмеряването на земната основа и фундаментите, както и методите за укрепване на склонове и земни съоръжения;
- Сградостроителството и основите на архитектурата;
- Статическото и динамическото изследване, оразмеряването и конструирането на сгради и съоръжения;
- Пътищата, ж.п. линиите, мостовете;
- Сградните инсталации;
- Предназначението и използването на машини, механизирани инструменти и съоръжения в строителството;
- Технологията за изпълнение на строително-монтажните работи;
- Осигуряването на здравословни и безопасни условия на труд, пожарната безопасност и екологичните изисквания в строителството;
- Техническите и правните норми, свързани със строителната дейност;
- Икономиката на строителството;
- Организацията и управлението на строителната дейност.
Specialty "Строителен мениджмънт” дава на студентите следните професионални умения за:
- Организиране на дейностите, ръководство и контрол при изграждането на сгради и съоръжения в съответствие с утвърдените проекти и техническите изисквания, както и за изработване на необходимата техническа документация, свързана с планиране, изпълнение, отчитане, приемане и разрешаване ползването на строежите;
- Elaboration or participation in the elaboration of investment projects in the construction, according to the given technical legal capacity;
- Изготвяне на документи, свързани с офериране и договориране на строителна дейност;
- Участие в дейности, свързани с изпитване на строителни материали, изделия, строителни почви и строителни конструкции;
- Организиране и контрол на дейностите по осигуряване на здравословни и безопасни условия на труд, пожарна безопасност и опазване на околната среда;
- Извършване или участие в извършването на дейности, свързани с надзора в строителството;
- Използване на компютърна техника и специализирани програмни продукти;
- Ползване на чужд език.

- Document certifying completed secondary education
Candidates, who are citizens of countries outside European union and European economic area may apply if the minimum average grade in mathematics or physics from the diploma for completed secondary education is not lower than 62 percent of the maximum value according to the assessment system in the country where the secondary education was acquired
Each applicant may have to submit the following documents:
- Application to the Rector of VSU
- Copy of the document for completed secondary education and of the appendix with the grades.
- A document issued by a competent authority certifying the applicant right to continue his / her education in the higher schools of the country in which his / her secondary education is acquired.
- Language proficiency document: For the candidates who will study in Bulgarian and will not pass language and specialized training - a document for proficiency in Bulgarian language, issued by a higher school in the Republic of Bulgaria. For candidates who will study in English and will not pass the language and specialized training - a recognized certificate (FCE, SAE, TOEFL, etc.) or high school diploma with enhanced teaching of English.
- Medical certificate issued within one month before the date of the application and authenticated by relevant medical authority in the country from which the person is applying.

- A copy of the page of the international passport on which the name of the candidate in Latin, date and place of birth.
- Document for paid deposit at VSU “L. Karavelov” in the amount of BGN 50 (upon registration is deducted from the fee). The documents under items 2, 3 and 5 must be legalized, translated into Bulgarian language and authenticated in accordance with the provisions of the international treaties of Republic of Bulgaria.

Състезателният бал за класиране за всички специалности се образува като се избере най-високата оценка от ДЗИ (важи само за кандидатите с диплома за средно образование от и след 2008 г.) или оценките от конкурсния изпит по математика при участие в някоя от сесиите,
умножена по 3.

The Lyuben Karavelov Higher School of Civil Engineering - Sofia is the legal successor of the specialized military engineering civil engineering school, established in 1938 by a Decree of NV Tsar Boris III.
Higher School of Civil Engineering “L. Karavelov ”is a state specialized higher school.
